Today, Ashadhi Ekadashi was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Horizon Academy Pimpalgaon B. This day is a day of devotion, faith and remembrance of the Warkari tradition. Against this backdrop, various activities were organized in the school.
The program began with the worship of the image of Shri Vitthal-Rukmini. After that, the students performed a palanquin ceremony in traditional costumes. The entire premises were filled with devotion with the sound of tal, mridangam and abhanga. Each student had assumed the form of a Warkari. A procession was taken out through the school premises with the sound of tal and the chanting of Harinama.
The main attraction of this program was the Dindi dance. The students performed a beautiful dance in colorful costumes and traditional attire with the name of Vitthal. Through this dance, they expressed the feeling of unity, dedication and devotion of the Warkari sect. The students of Geet Manch performed abhanga. Class 3 student Vihan Gosavi and class 4 students Bhakti Gawli and Hridaya Kushare presented devotional songs. Students Vishwa Wagh etc. Class 5, Shambhavi Kadam etc. Class 7, Sadhana etc. Class 8 gave information about Ashadhi Ekadashi.
During the program, class 6 student Manasvi Bankar presented a kirtan. Through her kirtan, she explained the importance of parents. Due to this, the entire atmosphere was bathed in devotion.
The school principal Smt. Anita Naidu Madam while praising the students said that “Such activities develop culture, awareness of tradition and spiritual feelings in the students.”
The entire program was conducted with enthusiasm, discipline and devotion. Teachers, non-teaching staff, parents and students participated spontaneously in this program.
